Cliff is a staff therapist at Grace. He received his Masters in Counseling
from Nyack College. He had the privilege of growing as a therapist at Beth
Israel Hospital. His experience there included those who suffered from
abuse, anxiety, and depression. It provided a wide range of valuable
experience for him in the field of Mental Health.
Before completing his Masters Degree, Cliff taught High School English for
six years at an inner city school in Irvington, NJ. He has also worked
with youth in various churches as well as led several small groups
encompassing various age ranges. These experiences have provided him with
insight and understanding regarding the needs of both adolescents and the
adult community.
He has a firm
commitment to the integration of biblical understanding and psychology;
believing the two go hand in hand in understanding and helping people to
grow into who God intended them to be. The foundation of his therapy is the
belief that, “ashes can be exchanged for beauty, and that crisis provides
opportunity.”
While working
at Grace Counseling, he is continuing to grow, learn and be challenged as a
therapist by pursuing his doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Long Island
University.
