Jesus is Faithful

John 11:25, 43-44: Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life.  He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die”…When he had said this, Jesus called in a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!”  The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, a cloth around his face.  Jesus said to them, “Take off the grave clothes and let him go!”

 Dear Friends,

As I sit to pen this letter to you, the Lord has laid it upon my heart that many of you are burdened and are in need of hearing a message of grace, healing, and comfort.  The cares of this world are many; it doesn’t take long to be weighed down by them.  Some of you are struggling with financial pressures, others with family illnesses, and still others with marital problems and personal addictions.

I want to reassure you that you are not alone.  Not only are there countless other going through the same issues, but also Jesus has been with you and is with now even as you read this letter.  As John records about Lazarus’ death and resurrection, we have a great hope because Jesus is powerful enough and faithful enough to meet our every need!  Sometimes it takes a while and things usually don't turn out the way we want them to, but this doesn't change the fact Jesus is with you now.

As is stated in the poem “Footprints,” Jesus is always there with us and carried us when we need Him the most, even though we often don’t realize when He’s doing it.

I also want you to know that you are not alone for there are many who are praying for you and your loved ones.  The good news is that when we band together like this our sufferings have meaning as we are all drawn closer together and closer toward God.

God wants to be glorified through your trials, tribulations, challenges, and sufferings.

My prayer for you is that while you meditate upon this scripture in John, that you will be filled with God’s peace.  Jesus is here with you now!  He can be trusted because, “He is Faithful.”

                                   Understanding your suffering,
