How Are You Being
Tested?
Dear Friends,
Are you being
tested?!? If you are, be glad, and count it as a blessing. Do not
resist the challenge that is set before you. God is the One who is testing
you or at least allowing this test to occur. He knows what is best for you, so you don’t have to worry. He has a plan
for your life and this plan is better than the best plan you can imagine. If
you follow His will, you will experience “the
peace of God, which passes all understanding!” He will give you the
peace you search for!
First, you need to pass the trials and
tribulations He has presented before you. You must prove that you can meet
the challenges God decides to put in your life. He wants you to pass these
tests because He is hoping that you can follow through on your end of the
bargain.
For sure, your test is
unique! What you have to face is different from anyone else! Your
trial is the special gift that our special God has for you. He
places it there to show you just how much He loves you.
The places where you are being tested are the
places in your life that need the greatest attention. God desires to
meet you where you struggle most; therefore, He will pursue you until you learn
the lesson He has set out for you. Of course, He will be there to
meet your deepest need and your most frightful fear! In the end,
He will show you just how much He wants to be there for you...In the
place you need it the most!
When you pass these trials, God will move you
on to the next thing He wants you to learn. In other words, if you pass the
tribulation before you, He will reward you with another, more complicated
assignment. Each of these trials are given to you by God to help you
grow, because the best way to grow, is to go
through the trials and tribulations that are placed there by God
Himself!!!
God reminds us of this with what He
says in James 1:2-4. Here Jesus’
brother James says, “(KJV) My
brethren, count is all joy when ye fall into divers temptations. Knowing this,
that the trying (or testing, NIV) of your faith worketh patience. But let
patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting
nothing.”
Don’t avoid the trials and tribulations
that come your way. Trust Him, accept the trials, and show Him you are
serious about following Him!
Once you have passed these trials,
God will reward you with His peace and love. Your problems are only His tools
He uses to shape you into the person He wants you to be. If you look at your
problems, difficulties, trials, and temptations in this fashion, you will be
able to overcome. You will grow spiritually; feel His presence and approval!!!
Still learning this lesson with you,
Paul
